Your questions
What people most often ask us. If your question isn’t here, call or message us.
Can you take on larger projects?
We assess the scope and timescales of each enquiry and bring in trusted subcontractors where additional support is required. Will remains directly involved in the work. We agree the working arrangements and programme before work starts.
Are you qualified for the services you offer?
Yes. Our team has the appropriate training and qualifications for each service. We work to current applicable standards, including BS 7671 (18th Edition) for electrical work, BS 5839 for fire alarms and BS 5266 for emergency lighting.
What is an EICR, and how often is one needed?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report records the condition of your fixed wiring and any defects. Five years is a common recommended commercial interval, not a universal legal deadline; some premises need earlier inspection.
Do you offer ongoing support and annual maintenance agreements?
Yes. After a site survey, we agree an annual maintenance and support plan covering EICRs, emergency lighting, PAT and fire alarms, with service levels, testing schedules and reports tailored to your premises.
What should I send when I get in touch?
Your postcode, a brief scope, drawings or specifications, useful photographs, existing reports and access requirements. Include your proposed start date, required completion date and any quotation deadline.
Will I know the price before you start?
Yes. We agree the scope, cost and timing with you before work starts.
Do you provide certificates?
We provide the relevant certification, inspection or test records and handover information for the agreed work.
Do you work on homes?
Yes. Alongside our commercial work we take on extensions and new builds, fuse box changes, EICRs, EV chargers and more at homes across West and North Yorkshire.
