Who is responsible for your information

Castle Bank Electrical Ltd is responsible for the personal information it receives for its business activities. Our registered office is 35 The Gills, Otley, LS21 2BY. You can contact us about your information at admin@castle-bank.com.

What you might send us

This may include your name, contact details, property or site address, a description of the job, photographs, plans, equipment details and records connected with the work. Please avoid sending information about other people unless it’s needed for your enquiry.

This website and our contact links

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Telephone, email and WhatsApp links open the relevant service for you to contact us. Your chosen service handles the communication under its own privacy terms. We receive the information you choose to send.

The site has no advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process technical request information to deliver and protect the website.

The site stores a small setting in your browser’s session storage so the logo’s opening animation runs once per session. It contains no contact or enquiry information and is not used for advertising or analytics.

Budget Calculator

The calculator uses your property postcode to calculate an indicative budget. The postcode is looked up through Postcodes.io, and postcode coordinates are processed by HeiGIT’s openrouteservice to calculate the location allowance, using data © OpenStreetMap contributors. These services do not receive your name, contact details, plans or photographs from the calculator.

When address suggestions are available, what you type and the postcode are sent to Google Maps Platform (the Places API). The request is made by our website’s server rather than your browser, and Google does not receive your name, contact details, plans or photographs from the calculator.

Your project choices, the address you choose, your contact details and selected files stay in your browser while you prepare an enquiry. The calculator does not automatically send them to us. If you prepare an email, you review and send it using your own email service; we then receive the information and attachments you choose to send.

A saved estimate link contains your property postcode and project choices, but not the address, your contact details or attachments. Anyone you share the link with can view those project details. The calculator rechecks the budget when the link is opened.

Address suggestions: terms of use

Address suggestions are provided by Google Maps. Use of this feature is subject to the Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Marketing and automated decisions

We do not currently operate a marketing mailing list, record telephone calls or make solely automated decisions about customers.

Sharing and keeping information

Information may be shared with service providers, professional advisers, certification or notification bodies, suppliers or specialist contractors where this is necessary for the work or required by law. We keep records only for as long as reasonably needed for enquiries, contracts, certification, accounting, insurance and legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can ask about the personal information we hold or request a correction by emailing admin@castle-bank.com. Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may also give you rights to access, erase, restrict or object to the use of your information, and to receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent. These rights depend on the circumstances and may be subject to exceptions. You can raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
